Hello!, and welcome to my tiny corner in cyber space where I'm free to be completely me. I'm LaVonndra, The Beauté Boss, a true southerner with a love of all things beauty, specifically perfume. I'm a creative with an affinity for beauty brands, and lover of all things nude and pastels. I own a skincare brand, Elle Johnson Co., and I recently decided to take time for a reset, and in doing so wanted to document my love for my perfume collection.
If I had to give you quick overview of who and what I am, I'd say I'm a mother first; my daughter is 19 years old and has taught me the meaning of selflessness, understanding and acceptance. I'm a brand owner as mentioned, which has taken up so much of my adult life that I didn't know life to be anything else. And now at 43 years old, I'm dedicating some much needed time to ME!
I've entered my soft girl phase in life where I just want to be surrounded by beautiful things, enjoy life as it comes while doing and enjoying some of the things I love. I've always had an affinity for perfume, it comes from both my mom and dad. I've been consistently building a collection for some years, but never documented it, because again, I was consumed with running my day-to-day business.
All that changed this year, when I decided to step back and focus on what's most important to me and that's my [small] family and my mental health and stability. That's where perfume comes in; it's been my saving grace, a mood shift to a bad day, a symbolic representation of a great day or accomplishment. It's been everything!
And so here we are. My first blog/journal entry with more to come.
